1967 "Lost In Space" TV Series Lunchbox & Thermos This 1967 "Lost In Space" lunchbox is not just an icon of American scifi TV, it's also in fantastic condition! Complete with original thermos, the graphics and colors on both the box and thermos are excellent! Both are also amazingly solid; the lunchbox shows some edgewear in the spots you would expect. There are some minor dimples deflections on the lid but unless you catch the light JUST right? You don't notice them. The thermos is complete and solid, with no rattle. There are some small blemishes as you would expect with a box and thermos of this vintage. On another note, a question from a user left me wondering about this set. This is the 2nd KST vinyl kit - the first being Bullwinkle ballooning from 1962 - with this kit the more rare of the two. The box features Bullwinkle J. Moose in his “Space Peace Corps” spacesuit on another world saving a couple little alien friends (named Gidney and Cloyd) from the evil Boris. Wonderfully designed by KST freelancer Nick LoBianco (of Peanuts, Green Hornet, Get Smart and Yellow Submarine fame) the sides have Rocky on his space capsule and Peabody with his rocket. The tall thermos features Rocky and Bullwinkle out in space. An exceptional example of this extremely HTF cartoon-themed kit – especially in this amazing condition - and the nicest on Ebay in a long time! Condition: Box and thermos are complete and correct. Item Description: BEVERLY HILLBILLIES METAL LUNCHBOX from Aladdin Industries 1963. This rare R-6 lunchbox features characters and scenes from the hit 60's TV show of the same name. Yes sir - from out back to in style - but never uptight - these hillbillies who struck it rich finding "black gold - Texas tea" on their land - pick up and move to the big city. And not just any big city - No sir. A Beverly Hills mansion complete with a ce-ment pond. Beautifully designed and drawn by AL artistic directors Bob Burton (of Hopalong Cassidy fame) and Elmer Lehnhardt (who invented the embossed panel featured on this box - and the 2nd year this new “deep-relief 3-D embossing” was introduced). One of our favorite TV-themes boxes - this one catches all the humor of the TV series with excellent color and art. Condition: Box and Thermos are complete and correct (including the original wire thermos holder). Box has no blemishes to the raised areas so typical with these vintage embossed boxes on the front and rear main panels. Rim panels are clean throughout - with original retail sticker on one side. Very light rim wear on the front panel - just a tad heavier on the back - with one small corner ding on bottom right of rear panel. Metal hardware is nice and shiny. Inside is also clean overall with some light blemishes on box in the thermos area - with no prior ownership markings. Box in overall strong Excellent Plus C-8.5 condition. Thermos lithos are clean and glossy throughout - with no dents or dimples and a rattle when shaken – bottom is nice and shiny - in overall strong Excellent Plus C-8.5 condition. This extremely rare R-8 embossed lunchkit features “James – James Bond” in all his “shakin’ not stirred” mystique, action color and style – just like in his movies. Another incredible kit designed by AL freelancer John Henry (of Flintstones fame), with James in the front panel dodging bullets in his famous 1964 Auston Martin DB5. Kit captures everything you could want for the man who is “Licensed to Kill”. Side panels inspired by the Goldfinger and Thunderball movies. Thermos features more amazing action underwater. One of my top five favorite movie-themed kits and a must-have for the serious Bond fan. Condition: Box and Thermos are complete and correct (including the original wire thermos holder). Box lithos are clean and glossy throughout with only the lightest blemishes to the raised areas so typical with these 60's vintage embossed boxes - with slightly more wear on back panel.
