Star Wars Vintage Lunchbox and Thermos
Star Wars Vintage Lunchbox and Thermos. Star Wars vintage lunchbox with thermos. I listed this as used but it looks brand new. It even has the Roughnecks flyer that shows bottle care. The colors are as bold and bright as the day it was made. I see many red-handled Star Wars lunchboxes but I seldom encounter the blue-handled version. Iâ??m not sure which came first, but the blue is rarer. The thermos appears it was never used. This lunchbox could easily pass for New Old Stock, itâ??s that nice.

EXC Vintage Star Wars 1st First Edition METAL LUNCHBOX w/BRAND NEW THERMOS 1977
eBay Rare Vintage First 1st Edition King Seely STAR WARS METAL LUNCHBOX W/BRAND NEW THERMOS 1977 Welcome new_releases TatooineToyland public A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, there was a Star Wars toy store located near Mos Eisley where kids both young and old loved to shop and play. Welcome to Tatooine Toyland: your trusted home planet for affordable, authentic vintage Kenner Star Wars toys from the original trilogy dating from 1977-1985. Let me help you build your collection, or find that last missing piece! Background Information table_chart Topic public Statistics public Item Lunch Box and Thermos Set Manufacturer King Seely and Thermos Assortment Number N/A Quantity 1 Size 8.625" (Length) x 6.625" (Width) x 6.75" (Height) Date Stamp 1977 Year of Release 1977 Country of Origin (COO) United States Version First Edition Force Power No Batteries Needed Issue Price N/A Our Price $875.00 OBO Please add $15.00 for shipping, handling, and insurance. Description description Lunch Box and Thermos public Introduction This listing is for an extremely clean, 100% authentic, original vintage Star Wars lunch box and thermos set. This 46 year old first edition black metal lunchbox with starfield panels is in spectacular condition for its age. It comes with its original blue plastic thermos and yellow cup topper which are brand new, and have never been used. Both the lunch box and thermos are dated 1977 which was the inaugural year of the Star Wars lunchbox. The lunch box has no broken parts and no rust which is amazing considering that this particular metal lunchbox is nearly half a century old. It has slight paint wear around the outer edges of the front and back panels as well as some paint loss on the bottom, but still looks fantastic. The graphic illustrations are really bright, and display nicely. The red handle and red clasp on the lunch box are original, and look like new. The red clasp locks down as expected, and is in proper working order. The country of origin (COO) for this original, authentic Star Wars lunchbox set is the United States. Lunch Box Review In May 1977, King Seely issued a first edition metal lunch box with starfield panels along with a plastic thermos depicting C-3PO and R2-D2. This set was only available in stores for the first 7 months following the theatrical release of Star Wars, and it was one of the first pieces of Star Wars merchandise offered for sale to the public. The lunchbox came with a red plastic carrying handle and a red clasp which secured the front panel of the lunch box to prevent it from opening. The front of the lunchbox depicted an X-Wing Fighter and TIE Fighter while the back of the lunch box depicted Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, and R2-D2 riding in a landspeeder and being questioned by Stormtroopers at Mos Eisely Spaceport. A starfield was the only thing pictured on the top, bottom, and sides of the lunchbox. Both the top (under the handle) and the bottom had intentional manufacturing indentations which helped hold the thermos in place inside the lunch box. In 1978, the second edition lunchbox was released. This version replaced the starfield panels with the following Star Wars photos: C-3PO and R2-D2 were on the left side panel, Darth Vader along with Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa were on the right side panel, a Stormtrooper riding a Dewback was on the bottom panel, and a Death Star battle with X-Wings and TIE Fighters was pictured underneath the handle. This second edition version would stock store shelves for the next several years, making the first edition starfield-sided version that much more rare. I'm sure parents probably bought the second edition to replace a rusty or damaged first edition, and threw the first edition lunch box away. Closing Remarks The first edition Star Wars lunchbox set was one of the first pieces of Star Wars merchandise issued following the movie release. Every self-respecting Star Wars collection should definitely reserve a prominent place for this particular lunch box and thermos set. Buy this vintage King Seely Star Wars item to acquire a really clean lunchbox, or to get its premium parts. This lunch box and its parts are 100% original and authentic. Please carefully examine my photos for specific details as the pictures are a substantial part of the description, and contact me if you have any questions. You will receive the same exact items as shown in the photos. This loose lunchbox and thermos set comes from a non-smoking environment and pet-free home; and has a fresh, neutral smell. There are no musty, moldy, cigarette, or perfume odors present. There is a finite and decreasing number of this very first Star Wars starfield panel lunch box available in exceptional condition. This is one of them. Since these original, first year release lunchboxes represent the very start of the Star Wars franchise, they are very likely to not only hold their value; but add value over time as more fans become collectors. Build your loose lunch box collection by getting this cool Star Wars lunchbox. It's an amazing find! Company Information store About Me public I've been an avid Star Wars fan and collector since 1977, and have a vast collection of 100% authentic, original vintage Kenner Star Wars items including mint in box (MIB) playsets, ships, and vehicles as well as unpunched mint on card (MOC) action figures released between 1977-1985. Most everything I have grades between a C-8 to C-10. Many were mine as a child, and the new boxed and carded items were purchased in the '90s from a reputable dealer in Cincinnati, Ohio – the city where Kenner was based. I also have a vast selection of accessories, weapons, trading cards, and carded figure backs as well as other miscellaneous items that I plan on putting up for sale as time permits so please check back regularly. I'm also a reseller of vintage Kenner Star Wars toys, and am always looking for large collections to purchase. My company is called Tatooine Toyland, and I take great pride and care in providing high quality photos and detailed descriptions so my clients will be pleased with their purchases. I have the knowledge, insight, and a well-trained eye and ear to detect "repro" (reproduction) weapons and accessories. They are quite prevalent on eBay by sellers, and some of the items even pass the float test; so buyers beware! Just so you know, I despise repros; and want nothing to do with them! So, if you're looking to purchase 100% authentic, original Kenner Star Wars items that I have listed on eBay; or have a vintage Star Wars collection from 1977-1985 that you are wanting to sell, please feel free to contact me so I can make you a fair offer or arrange to sell the items on consignment for you. Thank you for your interest, and May the Force be with you (MTFBWY)!
